David Ross | Snowcreek Pottery

I attended Appalachian State University Industrial Arts, class of 1974. I also apprenticed under Ron Propst at Penland School of Crafts for 2 years. Established Snow Creek Pottery 1977 to present. Taught numerous classes, received many awards, and have participated in multiple major art shows.

Artist Statement

I create high fired stoneware and porcelain platters that are decorative and functional. My images depict sights and scenes from my time spent in nature throughout my life. My images are of deer, turtles, and horses in their natural settings. I find that people relate to these images that remind them of happy memories.
